United States: Chickenpox has spread among students based in the Colorado Springs central campus of the Classical Academy (TCA).
The TCA spokesperson confirmed on Monday that they discovered three students affected by chickenpox.
More about the news
The infection of chickenpox exists among students between first-grade, second grade, and fourth grade, based on school records.
The North Side campus located at Springcrest Road accommodates kindergarten through 6th grade students, who total approximately 600.
TCA officials confirmed the first student case on Friday, but now there are three students who tested positive for chickenpox.
A declaration of chickenpox outbreak exists when the El Paso County Public Health Department identifies three or more cases of chickenpox.

What are the officials stating?
According to TCA officials, the school personnel have collaborated with health department personnel to receive safety advisory guidance.
TCA released an email to central campus parents on Monday requesting parents to communicate with childcare services and the school about their child having chickenpox.
According to the school’s requirement, students infected by chickenpox must stay absent from school until their rash completes the scabbing phase.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that an average chickenpox illness spans between four to seven days.
The main indicator of the virus arises when skin blisters become filled with fluid, followed by crust formation as scabs.
According to TCA Spokesperson Tisha Harris, “TCA takes the safety and health of students very seriously. We made the call with the health department as soon as we found out,” koaa.com reported.

Medical information from the CDC indicates that the first signs of chickenpox include a fever along with fatigue and diminished appetite.
Chickenpox presents as a soft condition but spreads easily from person to person, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Health officials explained that the virus travels by air, and physical contact with open blisters directly affects its transmission.
The county health department warns that chickenpox complications happen to pregnant individuals and newborns and victims with impaired immune responses.
People who desire vaccination access have the option to receive the available vaccine.
The Chickenpox (varicella) vaccine is part of standard childhood immunizations in which children receive their first dose between 12-15 months after birth, and they need their second dose between 4-6 years old.
